Bodies, Languages, Truths
First Edition 2021

Bodies, Languages, Truths—which borrows its title from Alain Badiou—is an exercise in joining poetry and art action in a literary-contactless participatory framework. This critical book art, as an attempt in a strict alternation between action and writing, is a universal reference to the polluted political climate that governs the whole world [the earth].

The content and design of the book serve as the primary vehicle of the performance/action’s concept of the work. As you notice, the book’s spine is ragged, and the page appears exposed; you are seeing beneath the skin. The covers of all the printed books are intentionally removed – torn off – to not only add a sculptural element to the piece, but also to add several other possible interpretations and invitations for physical interaction with the object.

All books are simply left on a surface (table, counter, bench, seat on a bus, etc.) or hung (on street signs, trees, door knobs, etc.) both inside the gallery and in suitable places in public space in a way that draws the attention of passers-by.

This book was created and performed during the pandemic.
